Does bold text help SEO?
I saw this question on a forum in an internet marketing think tank that I help moderate on Facebook.
Does anyone have an opinion on whether there is benefit to underlining or bolding keywords in a post to help with on page SEO? I don’t like how it looks visually but wonder if doing so gives content more of that “google juice”.

Choose Quality over Quantity for your Website Content
Saw this video featuring Matt Cutts on an article at Search Engine Journal today.
He’s letting webmasters know that more pages on your website does not equal higher ranking on Google and advises against creating more pages with that goal in mind.

Rank on Google for Local Search
Q&A: How to rank on Google for local search?
Someone asked a good question this morning in a Facebook help group for Internet Marketing that I participate in:
“Is the general consensus that you can’t do a lot to get listed within a (search) result (‘Dentist Woodridge” for example’)? Or are there steps that greatly improve your odds? I used to think reviews were huge – but the more results I see the less reviews (if any) the other listings have” [Read more…]
